It is very suitable for both on-site and in the laboratory, and is used as an analytical instrument for gasoline, diesel, engine oil and transformer oil.
Portable octane analyzer is often used for on-site analysis of the octane number of power gasoline, corresponding to the motor method and research method (RON and MON), and can also be used for diesel cetane number analysis. In addition, the temperature of the analyzed liquid and the freezing point of diesel can also be measured, and the measurement results are displayed on the LCD liquid crystal display.
This octane analyzer is widely used all over the world, and its measurement method complies with international standards: octane number measurement complies with: ASTMD2699-86, ASTM D 2700-86. Diesel cetane number measurement complies with: ASTM D 4737-03, ASTM D613, EN IS0 5165.
Measurement principle
The principle of the octane cetane number analyzer is to analyze and measure the octane number of gasoline and the cetane number of diesel by the insulation permeability and electromagnetic induction charge characteristics. The result is determined by measuring the dielectric properties of the sample and comparing it with the known parameters in the memory. The instrument is very sensitive and can measure tiny changes in dielectric parameters. It can thus detect petroleum product parameters such as octane number and cetane number.
